Rock Valley Opens New Disc Golf Course

The City of Rock Valley is excited to open their new disc golf course! The start of the course is located right off Eagle Ave in Rock Valley. The course has 9 holes with the first hole starting by the dog park and other holes along the Rock Valley Trail System. You can learn more about the course and read reviews here.

Disc golf is a popular recreational activity and Rock Valley is excited to have a course again! Rock Valley had a course in the past, but unfortunately was washed out twice by floods. The new location of the course will prevent it from being washed out and limit damage, should the river ever get that high again. The new course has been a goal of Rock Valley Recreational Director, Adam Rosman. He is excited to see it complete. “It is exciting to see this amenity reopen to the public. After it was washed away twice by flooding, this new Rotary Disc Golf park reflects the resiliency and strength of Rock Valley. The collective effort from those involved reminds us that this community is thriving and growing! We continue to provide new recreational opportunities from disc golf to new trails and pickleball with more great features to come.”

The Rock Valley Rotary Club sponsored the first original course and now they were the original donor for this new course. Other local businesses also helped make this goal a reality. We’d like to thank Valley Industrial Powder Coating for helping paint the baskets, Rocket Manufacturing for creating the Rotary Toppers, Van Zee Enterprises for making the tee boxes, and the City of Rock Valley Maintenance crew for installing and maintaining the course.

We are so excited to have a course in Rock Valley for our citizens and visitors to enjoy!
