Chamber Year in Review

2023 was a great year for the Rock Valley Chamber of Commerce! We had 91 members this year, with 20 first time members and 71 returning members. We are so excited about this growth in membership this year and thrilled to have able to serve our returning businesses, along with the new members. We're excited for continued growth in 2024.

The Rock Valley Chamber hosts lots of events throughout the year to help promote our local businesses, celebrate our community, and bring our town together. In 2023, we hosted over 50 different events, with some of the community favorites being the drive inn movies, BINGO nights, and Breakfast with Santa! Rally in the Valley is also one of the major events we host every year. We had a blast at Rally in the Valley 2023, with some fun new events and some community favorites that we have every year.

One of our favorite Chamber duties is welcoming new businesses to town and celebrating achievements of businesses with ribbon cuttings! This year we had 11 ribbon cuttings for our members! The ribbon cuttings ranged from brand new businesses, renovations, new ownership, and grand openings.

In 2022, the Chamber started the Rock Valley Gift Card program. This program allows the Chamber to sell gift cards that can be used at any participating Chamber business. This year we had a total of $42,365.02 spent in the community through the gift cards. There is also $20,000 in gift cards that were sold in 2023 that have yet to be spent. We love seeing this money stay in our community and go back to our local businesses.

For 2024, the Chamber added two new board members! We want to welcome Katie Van Zee owner of Rooted, and Brittany Van Roekel from Perspective Insurance! We're excited to have your on the board. We also want to thank Jeff Elgersma from Peoples Bank for his dedication to the Chamber Board for the past 3 years.

The Chamber uses social media to promote our businesses, chamber events, and more. Our social media has over 1.6k followers. If you don't follow us on Facebook or Instagram, be sure to check it so you don't miss anything!

Overall, we are so thankful for the continued support from our businesses and community! We had so much fun in 2023 and can't wait for what 2024 has to bring!
