Babysitter Basics by Hegg Health Center
Hegg Health Center is hosting Babysitter Basics on Thursday, June 15th in the Hegg Learning Center in Rock Valley, IA! Enroll your 4th, 5th, or 6th grader for a three-hour class covering in-depth fundamentals of childcare.
Morning and afternoon sessions are currently open and are limited to 25 future babysitters each. Cost is $20 and includes a t-shirt, babysitting tote, take-away materials including a comprehensive babysitter checklist notepad, and an unforgettable learning experience! Your child will grow in their knowledge of formal healthcare-based teaching from Hegg nurses and our social worker - all mothers with the hearts of teachers. Topics and workstations include:
- Basic infant and childcare
- Age appropriate activities
- Breastmilk and formula preparation
- Nutritious snack ideas & hands-on snack creation activity
- Emergency planning
- Hands-on first aid and choking education
- Poison control
