Press Release: Rosman Hired as Development Director for City of Rock Valley
July 19, 2025
Mayor Kevin Van Otterloo and the Rock Valley City Council are pleased to announce the hiring of Adam Rosman as the new Development Director for the City of Rock Valley and the Rock Valley Economic Development Corporation. Rosman officially will began his duties next week.
Adam Rosman has served the City of Rock Valley since 2016 as the Activities Director. In that role, he has worn many hats — leading the city’s recreation programs, overseeing zoning administration, serving as floodplain manager, and previously stepping in as Chamber of Commerce Director. His broad experience and deep connection to the community make him uniquely suited for this new leadership position.
“Adam has been a dedicated public servant for nearly a decade and has played a key role in many aspects of our city’s operations,” said Mayor Kevin Van Otterloo. “We are excited to see him step into this new role and bring his energy and experience to the future growth and recovery of Rock Valley.”
As Development Director, Rosman will lead efforts related to economic development, business retention and expansion, community revitalization, and long-term planning — a vital role as Rock Valley continues to recover and rebuild following the devastating 2024 flood.
City Administrator Tom Van Maanen praised the hire, stating, “Adam has already proven his leadership in times of challenge, and I’m thrilled to have him stepping into this position at such a critical time. His knowledge of our city, passion for serving residents, and ability to work across departments will be key as we continue our recovery efforts and look toward the future.”
