Blake Eichmann Starts as Activities Director and Zoning Administrator

We want to welcome Blake Eichmann to the City of Rock Valley team! Blake will be serving as the Activities Director and Zoning Administrator for the City of Rock Valley! Blake and his wife, Abbie have one daughter and will be welcoming a son to their family this winter. Welcome to the team, Blake!

Here's a bit more about Blake: 
Q: What’s one thing you hope every kid takes away from participating in our programs?
A: I hope each kid comes away wanting more and to be excited to play the following year or season. The most important thing in youth sports is to make it an enjoyable experience.

Q: What’s your go-to game for getting kids energized and involved?
A: My favorite go-to is playing a fun game like sharks and minnows or something that involves everyone equally and gets their minds and bodies ready to participate. Relay races are also a great way to finish an activity since they are competitive and team building.

Q: What’s one memory from your own childhood summers that inspires your work today?
A: I remember thinking how cool it was to have high school football players as my coach in flag football.

A: Water balloon fight

Q: What drew you to this role in Rock Valley?
A: I enjoy creating opportunities for kids and adults to participate in activities and I felt like my skills would be useful here. Rock Valley has a great community and creating these activities emphasize that strength even more.

Q: What’s one thing you’re most excited about in joining our community?
A: I’m most excited to meet new people and to implement new ideas!
