Junk Day
Junk Day will be on May 24 and will be for one day only!
In an effort to keep our town clean, the City of Rock Valley will once again be sponsoring a cleanup day for RESIDENTS of the City. Residents who accept waste from non-residents or commercial waste will NOT have their items picked up.
ALL items, including appliances and TV's, must be delivered to Bicentennial Park at 1800 11th Street between 12pm - 8pm. The junk collection site will be staffed by the City Crew. There will be NO curbside pickup of any items.
Special thanks to Post Equipment for accepting metals on behalf of the City. Appliances can be disposed free of charge. TV disposal fee is $10. A sticker is required for TV disposal. Stickers can be purchased at the City Office, 1303 10th Street, until 5pm on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. TV's without a sticker will not be accepted.
The Hazardous Waste Mobile Unit will be at the City Office, 1303 10th Street, on Wednesday, May 24 from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Latex paint can be disposed of for $1/gallon fee. Other household hazardous waste can be disposed of free of charge.
*No tires, concrete, or construction waste.
