The Rock Valley Community Jr. High/High School located in Rock Valley, Iowa serves grades 6th thru 12th and is a state funded public school. There are 610 students enrolled at the school from the community and surrounding areas. The Rock Valley Community School has 47 full-time teachers that are fully accredited by the state of Iowa and 29 support staff which keeps the teacher pupil ratio at 13 to 1.

The strong academic programs offered for the students of RV Jr./Sr. High School are augmented by the many extracurricular opportunities provided to our students. The RV Jr./Sr. High School students may participate in a full range of offerings that give the students quality experiences in the following areas: Art Club, Athletics, Technology Student Association (TSA), Future Farmers of America (FFA), Spanish Club, Band & Vocal Music, Speech and Drama, and the Student Council and National Honor Society. Every student has available to him/her one or more areas in which to apply and develop his or her skills and talents.

The Rock Valley Elementary School, located in Rock Valley, Iowa is a public elementary school. The enrollment of 300 students for the community and surrounding and rural area offers a complete curriculum for students in Pre-School thru fifth grade. The elementary employees 24 full-time teachers and 8 support staff.

The elementary school offers a variety of programs including, Elementary Spanish, Talented and Gifted program, PE, Music, Art, Reading Recovery, Title 1, Resource, and SCI. The Rock Valley Elementary School is accredited with the state of Iowa and the Area Educational Agency (AEA 4) offers a support service that enhances the elementary school.

Rock Valley Christian is a private, parent controlled Christian School.  It is the mission of Rock Valley Christian to team with the home and church to teach children to be disciples for Jesus Christ.  Rock Valley Christian has a current enrollment of 220 students Preschool - 8th grade.  RVCS is accredited with the state of Iowa, a member of Christian Schools International and the faculty is certified with the Department of Education.

Netherlands Reformed School is a parochial school under the jurisdiction of a school board selected by members of the Netherlands Reformed Congregations of Rock Valley and nearby Sioux Center.  Opened in 1980 with 180 students in grades K-7, the school has expanded to about 335 students in three levels: Elementary ( K-6 ), junior high ( 7 & 8 ), and the high school (9-12 ).
